The seventh edition of the Blue Book on Urban Competitiveness conducted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) includes 294 cities and investigates the competitiveness of Chinese cities. The study includes cities on Chinese mainland including Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

Dalian – location of the Mussenbrock & Wang GmbH Representative Office – has reached an excellent 13th place. The top cities are Hong Kong, Shenzen and Shanghai.

The result for Dalian was influenced by the ideal geographic position at the Bohai Sea and the excellent infrastructure. The City with its 6 Million citizens has the third largest port in China. After Shenyang she is the second largest city of the Liaoning province.

But also in aspects of quality of living Dalian is ahead of most cities in China. The relaxing sea-climate, less air pollution and many choices for free time activities are making Dalian to a first choice City for local and foreign people.
