Dear Reader,
it seems that China has reached the bottom of the economic crisis. Even in Germany we can see a slightly recovery. The industry has seen a first increase of incoming orders the first time since 6 months.
Despite that, the water sport industry in Germany is still suffering – Hanse Yachts laid off close to 110 staff members – even if they have reported excellent results from the boot 2009. Furthermore Megayacht-Shipyards are faced with order cancellations.
We are still optimistic - and stay working in that mode!

After 4 days, China International Boat Show closed its doors on 19th April. With more than 380 exhibitors on 33.000 m² the show is comparable small to European Exhibitions. But the Water Sport and Yacht Industry is still small in Big China.
Unfortunately, Germany was underrepresented, while Italy, France and Australia had their own country industry booths.
From the German side we could find only:
- C. & E. Fein GmbH
- MAN
- Schenker
- Lürssen Yachts
